Snow delayed World Book Day celebrations at WHEC! However, a week late, the school Library hosted the great World Book Day Library “pub” Quiz! The whole of first year participated in nine teams, alongside their English teachers. After a close fought competition, Team Blue from Wallace House beat Team Dodgy Kenzie from Bruce House, by just one point! School house points will be awarded to the winning team!

Free Books

To celebrate World Book Day, there are tables with dozens of free books in the school Library!  Any student is welcome to take a book away, to keep  – along with a World Book Day 2018 sticker. We try to encourage reading for pleasure and reading at home. These free books have been made available from book donations gathered over the year by the Librarian. Books are better in homes than in boxes!
