Over three days pupils and staff had the opportunity to work with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra to compose their own music. Pupils were encouraged to explore a range of ideas and influences, and were often asked to play their instruments in new and exciting ways. The culmination of the project was a day of recording the new compositions. Professional recording artists and videographers came into school to record the pupils performing their own music and to allow them to see how a recording session works and what needs to be done for this to happen. The three days were an inspiring event which gave the young people an insight into being professional musicians and composers.
