HT update 25.06.21

Dear Parent/Carer,

This is my final update for this session as I go on annual leave for a few weeks. First of all I wanted to let you know how proud I am of ‘our’ children (I know they’re your children but they’re ours during the school day) as they have shown great resilience and patience as we have adjusted to the many demands of COVID. A close second is to each one of you, as parents, for supporting uniform, getting your child to school on time, turning up to online meetings or being patient with changes to school days and COVID calls. Once again I have been overwhelmed by the many comments and sentiments you have sent us with examples including thanking us for our Keyworker Hubs or for trying to get as many pupils into school as possible during phasing periods. I hope you understand that whilst I get the plaudits, I don’t really deserve them. Instead it’s our staff that deserve them for their efforts and public service commitment to ensure our educational provision is as good as it can be. They really are a special group and I’m humbled to work for them and with them.

Therefore I’ll simply say, stay safe, take care of your loved ones and I’ll send updates on all things School sometime in early August.

Best wishes

David Young
