Dear Parent/Carer
As we approach the Easter break, I wanted to express my thanks to you for your support and understanding over the last few weeks. I’ll make this update as brief as I can knowing that next term will likely bring a number of new challenges and possibly (hopefully not!) more disruption to what has already been an unprecedented school session.
COVID
In the event that you are contacted by NHS during Easter break it might be useful for you son daughter to keep a note of close contacts from yesterday and today. These will only be the names of their peers who they socialise with as all pupils are 2m socially distanced in classes and therefore not a close contact*
Term starts on Tuesday 20th April and I anticipate that the Scottish Government will revoke to 2m social distancing rule and therefore we will revert to our pre-January Lockdown COVID timetable with staggered lunches and finishes. Easter School – Monday 12th -Thursday 15th April (S4,S5 and S6 only)

Uniform
I have already sent a text message to all parents and carers this week and would ask that you support the school with our approaches to have no pupil in ripped jeans from Tuesday 19th April.
SQA Alternative Certification Model (ACM) – S4,S5 and S6 only
This will dominate next term and I would ask that you spend a few moments with your son/daughter going over our newly published assessment calendar. Specifically, I would ask that you check that your son daughter is aware of which subjects they have assessments in and when they are in the calendar. This will help them prepare appropriately for school based assessments.
