Cracking Christmas Cakes

Cakes 2Part of the Practical Cake Craft course at National 5 is to plan, make and finish a Christmas cake suitable to be sold to the public at Christmas time. The pupils who are in S5 and S6 have baked a rich fruit cake, researched, sketched, modelled, covered and finished a Christmas cake to a professional standard. The pupils have used professional techniques, painting, modelling and commercial cutters to pass and to prepare them for their final cake assessment which will be submitted and verified by the SQA in May. Miss Simpson would also like to congratulate everyone in the class on passing and completing a very difficult project to an incredibly high standard, she could not be prouder, Merry Christmas and enjoy the stunning cakes!
