Barkly West High School, Northern Cape, South Africa

The Secretary of State for International Development, Rt Hon Priti Patel MP, recently wrote to our school to thank WHEC for its continued participation in Connecting Classrooms with Barkly West High school, Northern Cape, South Africa. She said:

‘I am writing to thank you for your school’s participation in the British Council’s Connecting Classrooms programme, which the Department for International Development has been proud to support since 2012. I hope that your school’s overseas partnership is continuing, and I would encourage your school to continue to engage with Connecting Classrooms, in line with our ambition to make Britain truly global, and to help young people develop the knowledge, skills and values to live and work in a truly global economy.’
