Burns Ceilidh

Ceilidh 2Students and staff together with guests from the local community blew away the January blues with everyone stepping out and having a right good Scottish knees-up on Wednesday 22nd January at the Burns Ceilidh. WHEC staff and pupils welcomed guests from Clovenstone and Sighthill Primary schools with some fantastic dancing, poetry and food!

Our resident piper Campbell Calder piped in the Haggis whilst the ‘Ode to the Haggis’ was read. Food was devoured whilst S6 pupils Kieran Doherty and Alan Sinclair entertained the guests with their ‘Toast to the Lassies.’ Shelley Hunter and Ellen Smith provided an equally amusing reply. The Ceilidh ended with a splendid Arcadian Strip the Willow. A huge thank you to everyone who attended our fantastic event!
