On Friday 20^th March a group of 8 senior students set of on their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh practice expedition. The group had opted to use canoes and had previously spent time working with Bridge8 to develop their paddling skills. The group canoed for several hours along the Union Canal, before stopping in Ratho for the night. The group had chosen to sleep in hammocks which they set up themselves before cooking their dinner on camp stoves. After a successful, but cold overnight stay, the group made the return journey back to Wester Hailes on Saturday morning. A fantastic achievement for all involved. Well done!!
