Mrs Valentine and her S3 Business and IT class had a successful trip to the Odeon Cinema Wester Hailes. This trip was not to see a film, but to undertake business research. David was the employee who showed us around, and spoke to us, passing on his interest in film, as well as his knowledge about the Odeon Cinema business. Information about profitability, day to day running, as well as renovations that were planned soon were explained. We were also able to see the projections area (not quite what we thought it would look like). Pupils had the opportunity to ask questions on their topic area – technology, staffing, competition or product. A great visit, and maybe next time well get to see a film too……
