On Wednesday 11 October the Young Entrepreneur class were taken on a trip to Edinburgh University Business School. After a lunch, provided by the University, pupils experienced an Entrepreneur Lecture in one of the University Tutor Rooms. Pupils were then given a brief tour of the University’s facilities. They saw the Business School library, with work spaces and computers available for student use. They were then taken to one of the many lecture theatres. Pupils were able to sit in one of the approximately 150 seats. They were even able to speak on the lecture theatre sound system. We then visited the main library, open 24 hours, with the many floors, study rooms and even a café. On returning to our initial room we then received information about the various business courses offered by Edinburgh University, as well as the grades pupils need to aim for and how help in available at every stage when thinking about university, from applying for a course, to studying the course, to working to help fund their student life.
