Wester Hailes Education Centre is open to the public throughout the school day, in the evenings, at weekends and during the school holidays, supporting a wide variety of further education, leisure and recreation activities as well as many community events. We are currently recruiting for an ICT Technician to join our school.
This role is full time /term time but there will be flexibility for the successful candidate to change working weeks if required, and applications from candidates who wish to work reduced hours will be considered.
Responsibilities for the post include:
• Providing advice and guidance in the operation, use and application of all relevant IT equipment and software, and assisting and advising teaching staff in the planning and use of IT resources
• Ensuring the school’s desktops, laptops, printers and telephony are maintained and supported through effective use of delegated administration rights and by liaising with the authority’s managed service providers
• Ensuring that AV equipment is maintained and used effectively in the school.
Relevant IT qualifications and/or experience in IT maintenance is essential.
This is a key role in the school and the post holder must be able to work independently, prioritise workloads and use own initiative to progress work and resolve issues.
