S1 Widening Participation group visited Edinburgh University’s renowned Informatics and Robotics research facility where they had a personal tour of the labs and workshops from Professor Vijayakumar, head of the Valkyrie humanoid robotic project run in conjunction with NASA. The professor took questions from the pupils, after his introductory talk and was quite taken aback by how perceptive the young people were.  Big thank you to Dr Neil Speirs who arranged for WHEC, Liberton High and Leith  Academy S1 pupils to enjoy such an inspiring afternoon!
