A Local Place Plan is currently being developed for Wester Hailes. Following a number of community consultations in and around Wester Hailes, the Let’s Plan Wester Hailes Community Conference is a collaborative learning event to discuss the vision of the Local Place Plan to date and what are the next steps in its development. The day will comprise of an inspiring line-up of speakers, including keynote, Stephen Willacy, Chief Architect of Aarhus, Denmark who will discuss housing regeneration in Aarhus.
The conference provides the opportunity to learn from other places, continue to shape and inspire the future vision of Wester Hailes and highlight the place potential.
Throughout the day, the conference will discussm numerous themes, relevant to the vision of the Wester Hailes Local Place Plan including Active Travel, Town Centre Regeneration, Sustainable Living and the potential for Wester Hailes to
become a Canal Destination.
