We were delighted to recently receive £200 from Waitrose, Comely Bank who chose us as one of their charities of the month. By placing a token in the Community Matters box in the branch, shoppers chose to support the Duke of Edinburgh at WHEC.  We asked for help to buy new outdoor equipment for our Spring expeditions to the Pentlands.  The money will provide us with new items such as rucksacs and boots.  We have 8 pupils this session currently doing the Bronze Award. They are raring to go and all we need now is some good weather and a lot of stamina!  They will complete a circular walk to and from WHEC over 2 days, covering 15 miles. They will also camp out and enjoy being close to nature for the night. Look out for DofE expedition photos in the Summer!
